ESS Academy Programs
ESS Academy offers two vocational diploma programs in Executive Protection, licensed by the Florida Commission for Independent Education (License No. 5198). Both are taught at our Tarpon Springs campus by working protection professionals, and both follow the same principle: for everything taught in the classroom, there is a live practical. 1) Executive Protection 3-Day Program
The Executive Protection 3-Day program (24 clock hours: 12 theory, 12 hands-on lab) teaches the basic fundamentals of the executive protection industry. Over three consecutive days students learn client interviews, threat assessment, security advance tactics, embus and debus operations, motorcade operations, walking formations, and defensive tactics and body cover. Every practical exercise is scored on a published rubric so students know exactly where they stand. Graduates receive an ESS Academy certificate of completion.
2) Executive Protection “All In One” Program
The Executive Protection “All In One” is a 224 clock-hour program (76 theory, 148 hands-on lab, approximately 24 training days) designed for individuals seeking a career in executive protection. Students learn to become the ideal EP agent providing personal protection for high-profile clients, with rigorous training in threat assessment, security advance work, motorcade operations, defensive tactics, field trauma care, and firearms familiarization on a non-live-fire Airsoft platform at our Tarpon Springs campus. The program finishes with a capstone protective detail in which students plan and execute a full operation. Our curriculum was created from the knowledge and real-life experience of our agents and instructors. Graduates receive an ESS Academy diploma.
