Admissions at ESS Academy
ESS Academy is a licensed private career school in Tarpon Springs, Florida, operated by ESS Global Corporation. We train security professionals at every stage: state licensing courses, armed and unarmed credentials, and advanced executive protection programs taught by working practitioners.
How Enrollment Works
- Choose your program. Browse our course catalog. Common starting points are the Class D Security License course, the Class G Statewide Firearm License course, and the Executive Protection programs.
- Apply. Complete the application form below, or call us at (727) 940-7926. An admissions coordinator will confirm your course dates and answer questions the same business day.
- Meet the requirements. Students must be at least 18 years of age (21 for Class G) and able to pass the background screening required for Florida security licensure. Some advanced courses restrict enrollment to sworn law enforcement or licensed security officers; each course page lists its prerequisites.
- Arrange tuition. Tuition is listed on each course page. Payment plans and funding options are described on our Tuition Assistance page, or ask your admissions coordinator.
- Confirm your seat. Once your application and tuition are in, you will receive a confirmation with your start date, schedule, location, and what to bring on day one.
