These Terms of Use govern your use of essacademy.com, operated by ESS Global Corporation (“ESS,” “we,” “us”). By using the site, applying, or enrolling in a course, you agree to these terms.
The School
ESS Academy is a private career school in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Individual course pages state each program’s tuition, prerequisites, equipment requirements, and any restrictions (for example, courses limited to sworn law enforcement or licensed security officers). Where a course page notes that a program is not licensed by the Commission for Independent Education, that notice controls.
Enrollment, Tuition, and Refunds
- Tuition for each course is stated on its course page at the time of purchase. Registration is complete when your application is accepted and tuition (or an agreed payment arrangement) is received.
- Course dates and instructors may be adjusted for safety, weather, minimum enrollment, or instructor availability. If we reschedule, your tuition applies to the new date; if we cancel a course outright, you receive a refund of tuition paid for that course.
- Refund and cancellation terms for a specific program are provided in your enrollment paperwork. Contact info@essglobalcorp.com with any enrollment questions before your start date.
Student Conduct and Safety
Security and protection training involves physical activity and, in some courses, defensive equipment or firearms under instructor supervision. Students must follow all instructor directions, range rules, and safety briefings. We may remove a student who creates a safety risk or disrupts instruction; removal for cause does not entitle the student to a refund.
Certificates and Licensing
Completion certificates reflect training delivered by ESS Academy. State licensure decisions are made by the State of Florida, not by ESS; meeting course requirements does not guarantee issuance of any state license.
Accounts and Purchases
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you submit and for activity under your account. Prices on the site are in U.S. dollars and may change; the price shown at checkout is the price charged.
Intellectual Property
Site content, course materials, curricula, and trademarks are the property of ESS Global Corporation or its licensors and are provided for your personal use as a prospective or enrolled student. Do not republish, resell, or distribute course materials without written permission.
Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
The site is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, ESS disclaims implied warranties, and our total liability arising out of your use of the site or enrollment in a program is limited to the amount you paid us for the program giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Venue for any dispute lies in the state or federal courts serving Pinellas County, Florida.
